IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES

Below is my favorite poem. I read this often. It always reminds me of the most important things in life. I often wonder, what if tomorrow never comes? Read on the wonderful poems below and I hope you will like it too.

IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES

If I knew it would be the last time
that I'd see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in more tightly and pray
The Lord, your soul to keep.

If I knew it would be the last time
that I see you walk out the door,
I would give you a hug and kiss
and call you back for one more.

If I knew it would be the last time
I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would video tape each action and word,
so I could play them back day after day.

If I knew it would be the last time
I could spare an extra minute or two to stop and say
"I love you,"
instead of assuming you KNOW I do.

If I knew it would be the last time I would be there to share your day,
I'd be sure it was your best, before it slipped away.

For surely there's always
tomorrow to make up for an oversight, and we
always get a second
chance to make everything right.

There will always be another day to say "I love you"
And certainly there's another chance to ask
"Anything I can do?"

But just in case I might be wrong, and
today is all I get,
I'd like to say how much I love you
and I hope we never forget

Tomorrow is not promised to
anyone, young or old alike,
And today may be the last chance you get to
hold your loved one tight.

So if you're waiting for tomorrow,
why not do it today?
For if tomorrow never comes,
you'll surely regret the day

that you didn't take that extra time
for a smile, a hug, or a kiss.
and you were too busy to grant someone,
what turned out to be their one last wish.

So hold your loved ones close today,
whisper in their ear,
Tell them how much you love them
and that you'll always hold them dear.

Take time to say "I'm sorry," "please forgive me,"
"thank you" or "it's okay."
And if tomorrow never comes, you'll have no
regrets about today.

China to donate 20,000 U.S. dollars to floods-ravaged Indonesia

It is good to hear that China will donate 20,000 US dollars to its Asian neighbor country- Indonesia. Source said the money is for help reconstruct the flood-ravaged as overflowing rivers sent muddy water into homes and shops. This is considered to be one of the worst floods in the capital city. So good to hear that amidst war and chaos, kindness still remains and love is still alive. I hope other countries will help each other too and will settle to have the peace that we all are longing for.

Hopes Soar : Record Hospital Gift of $400 Million

Dave Eggen for The New York Times

The philanthropist T. Denny Sanford donated money to the Sioux Valley Hospitals.

Pat Shannahan for The New York Times
Mr. Sanford in Scottsdale, Ariz. “The state has been so good to me,” Mr. Sanford says of South Dakota.

Mr. T. Denny Sanford, a low-key billionaire who made his home and fortune in South Dakota, will help sustain the state’s economic boom with a $400 million gift to the Sioux Valley Hospitals and Health System, the state’s largest employer. Wowwwww! What a heart! I hope more people like him will do this kind of kindness, not for popularity sake, but for the sake of true kindness and helping the people in need. God bless you sir! More power to you.

I always have a huge respect to Marines, Cops, Navy and the likes. Their bravery and patriotism to serve their countrymen are just awesome. I wish more people will appreciate the their hard works to protect law abiding citizen from any harm. Many of these corpsmen saves lives and in most instances them saving lives risks their own lives. They are people like us you know, they have families and love ones and they can always choose to have another job, but they choose to serve the country. Much respect for all of you heroes :)

prayer for peace

Amidst bloodshed, millions of muslims pray for PEACE, seeking divine blessings for peace in the world.

Bangladeshi Muslim pilgrims crowd boats on their return trip from a three-day Islamic gathering.

They put aside their country's violent struggle with political corruption and Islamic extremists and raised their hands in prayer for global peace at one of the world's largest religious gatherings. There is still hope for peace.
