Open your eyes

We are all too much inclined to walk through life with our eyes shut. There are things all around us, and right at our very feet, that we have never seen; because we have never really looked.

Not a Bad Blog!

I checked this blog today and noticed in my shout box that my dear friend Sara (http://sdn008.blogspot.com) left me a not a bad blog tag. (Thanks Sara!)

I first started this blog with an idea of fostering friendships. My first thought was to blog about loving, caring, rescuing and other kind deeds. Then I get so busy with life and so I normally just post motivational phrases and inspirational quotes about loving, kindness and life lessons. I also started accepting some ads as I am hoping to someday have my own blog host and manage a blog that would foster peace and friendships.

I learned from Sara that this award was created by skynet, and has its proper rules:

1- This award must be attributed blogs that you consider to be good, blogs that you keep reading or visiting regularly and and those blogs where you leave comments;

2- if you received this award, you must write one post: - Indicating the person who gave the award (with one link for respective blog) to you and the rules and 7 other blogs that will receive the award;

3- You must proud show tag of the award in your blog, of preference with one link for post where you speak of it;

4. (Optional) You can write or make advertising to the blog author if you like, and if you have much free time to spend in and where this award idea started or, or you can write about me.

Blogs that I choose is:

1. Precious - http://ripples-of-joy.blogspot.com - I'm enjoying this blog a lot.
2. ZHP - http://zerohourproject.blogspot.com - I love reading this blog. I don't leave comments though but I love this blog. Great contents!
3. Rita's Kitchen - http://dapurnyarita.blogspot.com. I love her food recipes and love the foods. Delicious.

Congratulations!

Gift of commitment

Giving time doesn't necessarily take more "time"; rather it requires a shift in one's mindset. The simplest thing everyone can give is the gift of a commitment to a value -- practice meditation daily, work out three times a week, donate money to a charity every month, whatever it is.

Listen

Listening is such a simple act. It requires us to be present, and that takes practice, but we don't have to do anything else. We don't have to advise, or coach, or sound wise. We just have to be willing to sit there and listen.

Desire to Love

Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself
But if your love and must needs have desires,
Let these be your desires:

To melt and be like a running brook
That sings its melody to the night.
To know the pain of too much tenderness.
To be wounded by your own understanding of love;
And to bleed willingly and joyfully.
To wake at dawn with a winged heart
And give thanks for another day of loving;
To rest at the noon hour and meditate love's ecstasy;
To return home at eventide with gratitude;
And then to sleep with a prayer
For the beloved in your heart
And a song of praise upon your lips.

Bedding

I found great beddings and pillow designs online at visionbedding.com. They got the widest and most unique selection of Striped Bedding and Pillow designs on the web. I was amazed by the beautiful designs and awesome colors they have. Aside from that, I really like the website because they offer customized designs and colors or any specialization that any customer would like to. Customers will enjoy great Surfer Bedding because they will have it match and fit to any of customers favorite bedroom color and style, aside from that these beddings are extremely breathable. It is very soft and durable because their products are of high quality that uses surge stitching and top-quality fabrics, made in the USA. It is hard to find this kind of beddings anywhere else. It's an excellent choice for everyone who likes to explore their style and display their personality into their space.

Extend yourself

We always hear the expression life is short. If we think about it, it is indeed true... that life is short. Short in the sense that a minute pass will never be back again. Time moves on, and as much as we hate to admit, we are growing older every second of every day. We wish we can do things all over again, but we can't. We may always have the chance to try to make past mistakes right, but we can never turn back time.

Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again.

Save Money

Christmas holiday is fast approaching, the spirit of Christmas has started and everyone is busy shopping for the season. Most shoppers are looking for new stuffs to buy maybe or maybe some holiday gifts for their love ones and themselves. Shopping can be very tiring and time consuming. A great online price comparison shopping service, like Savebuckets will surely be a great help for smart shoppers to save time, effort, and money.

Savebuckets
is a free to use online comparison shopping service that gives awesome help in making the best buying decisions. It is a very informative site. They have a list of thousands of products from a wide range of shops, pictures and product descriptions. They also enlisted the different prices, provided to assist shoppers and help them find the product they want, quickly and easily at the price they want. It's a great website to save a whole load of money, making shopping easier, convenient and more fun.

Wrath

I was curious to know my wrath quotient. As usual, this is just a short quiz that I answered for fun. I know wrath will not do you good. Anger is normal, but holding on to it, especially for a long time, is like a boomerang, the end will come back to you. It's like a poison inside your heart that will slowly kill you. You feel bitter and mad everyday and I don't find it attractive. I think life is beautiful, when you look at it in a more positive way. Anyway, here's the result of that quiz I took. Quite close to my reality. I rather laugh my way and move on, than to stay sad and bitter.

Your Wrath Quotient: 20%

Revenge, anger, rage? They're hardly words in your vocabulary.
If someone wrongs you, you move on. You rather be indifferent than upset.

true happiness

Often in our desire to be loved, we try so hard to be everything to everyone. We compromise our true selves in an expectation to please someone else. If we continue to live for the approval of others, we will find ourselves unhappy about life and unfulfilled in our own dreams. We can never be truly happy until we live our own lives.

- Meditation with James Van Praagh

Jealousy...jealousy..

I myself is also wondering what is going on with the contestants of Miss Puerto Rico Universe pageant. I read the news lastnight and I am glad that the beauty pageant organizers were investigating this now as to who doused a contestant Ingrid Marie Rivera's evening gowns with pepper spray and spiked her makeup, causing her to break out in hives. She manages to keep calm and was composed before cameras and judges throughout the competition but they said that at the backstage, she had to strip off her clothes and apply ice bags to her face and body, which swelled and broke out in hives twice. It was done twice to her and pageants officials are now investigating. Could this be due to some jealousy?

Hmmm...jealousy...jealousy, what have you done to this pretty lady?

Handwriting

Some people said that our handwriting actually says a lot about our personality. I found this fun quiz at Blogthings.com and I just answered 10 questions just for fun and to find out what secrets I'm sharing with my penmanship. I don't take this seriously though. When I'm not doing anything and bored, I try to have a little fun. Here's my result and if you wan't to try this quiz too, you can.

What Your Handwriting Says About You

You are a fairly energetic person. You know how do pace yourself, and you deal well with stress.

You are very extroverted and outgoing. You are loving, friendly, and supportive. However, you are also manipulative and controlling at times.

You are balanced and grounded. You know how to get along well with others.

You need a bit of space in your life, but you're not a recluse. You expect people to give you a small amount of privacy, and you respect their privacy as well.

You are somewhat traditional, but you are also open to change. You listen to your head and your heart.

You are a decent communicator. You eventually get your point across, but sometimes you leave things a bit ambiguous.
